At an early age, Jane immersed herself in the world of music, pursuing her studies in singing at The Royal College of Music. Her soaring voice and dedication to the craft eventually catapulted her onto the world's most prestigious opera stages. From enchanting performances at Glyndebourne and Sadler's Wells to a triumphant chapter at La Scala in Milan, Jane's operatic journey was nothing short of spectacular.

While her initial plan was to spend a mere six months in Italy, fate had a different design. Jane's heart resonated with La Scala's grandeur, the allure of an Italian lifestyle, and the country's rich cultural tapestry. Italy became her new home, where she would craft her life for many years.

As life took new turns and her family grew, Jane made her home in Lecco, a picturesque town nestled along the shores of the serene Lake Como. Lecco, known as the residence of the renowned Italian author Alessandro Manzoni, served as the backdrop for his masterpiece, 'I Promessi Sposi' - The Betrothed, adding another layer of artistic inspiration to Jane's surroundings.

Transitioning from her operatic career, Jane Cammack delved into the world of writing.
